Privacy & Cookies
Your information, handled with professional care.
Immigration files contain some of the most sensitive information a person will ever share. This policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the choices you have.
1. Who we are
Vanguard Global Migration is a regulated Canadian immigration consultancy with offices in Mississauga, Ontario and Lahore, Pakistan. Client files are overseen by our President, Muhammad Abid Nisar, a Regulated Canadian Immigration Consultant (RCIC R416527) and member of the College of Immigration and Citizenship Consultants (CICC).
We handle personal information in line with Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and the CICC Code of Professional Conduct, which requires us to keep client information confidential.
2. Information we collect
We only collect what we need to answer your enquiry or work on your file:
- Enquiry details you submit through our forms: your name, email, phone number, country of residence, pathway of interest and any message you include.
- Consultation and case information you provide once you book or retain us, such as identity and travel documents, education and employment history, language test results, family details and financial records.
- Communication records, including emails, WhatsApp messages and notes from calls or meetings with our team.
- Basic technical data when you visit this website, such as browser type, device and the pages you view, where you have allowed it.
3. How we use your information
- To respond to your enquiry and arrange a consultation.
- To assess your eligibility and advise you on immigration pathways.
- To prepare, submit and follow up on applications you have authorised us to handle.
- To meet our professional, regulatory, accounting and legal obligations.
- To keep this website secure and understand which pages are useful.
We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information, and we do not use it for unrelated marketing without your consent.
4. When we share your information
We share personal information only where it is necessary for your file or required by law, for example with:
- Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) and other government authorities, when you authorise us to submit an application on your behalf.
- Educational institutions, employers, licensing bodies or testing providers connected to your pathway, with your instruction.
- Trusted service providers who help us operate, such as email, form-handling and secure document storage providers, who may only use your information to provide that service to us.
- Our regulator or other authorities where we are legally required to do so.
Because we operate offices in Canada and Pakistan and use online service providers, your information may be processed outside your home country. We take reasonable steps to ensure it receives a comparable level of protection.
5. Storage, security & retention
Client files are accessible only to the staff who need them to work on your case. We use password-protected systems and secure channels for document exchange, and we ask that sensitive documents be shared through the secure method we provide rather than through open email where possible.
We keep client records for as long as needed to provide our services and to meet the record-keeping requirements set by our regulator, after which they are securely deleted or destroyed. Enquiries that do not lead to an engagement are kept only as long as reasonably needed to respond and follow up.
6. Cookies
Cookies and similar browser storage are small pieces of data saved on your device when you visit a website. We use a small number of them:
| Type | Purpose | Can I turn it off? |
|---|---|---|
| Essential | Keep the site secure and working, and remember your cookie choice so the notice is not shown on every page. | No, the site needs these to function. |
| Analytics | Help us understand, in aggregate, which pages are visited and useful so we can improve them. | Yes, choose “Decline” on the cookie notice. |
You can change your mind at any time by clearing this site’s data in your browser, which will show the cookie notice again. Most browsers also let you block or delete cookies in their settings; blocking essential cookies may affect how the site works.
Some pages link to or embed third-party services such as WhatsApp or Google Fonts. Those services may set their own cookies and are governed by their own privacy policies.
7. Your rights
You may ask us to:
- Confirm whether we hold personal information about you and give you access to it.
- Correct information that is inaccurate or incomplete.
- Withdraw your consent to further use of your information, subject to legal or regulatory limits.
- Stop contacting you with updates or follow-ups.
We will respond within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as our services or legal obligations change. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last revised.
